Civil Engineering:

ActiMat is a high specification needlepunched geosynthetic clay liner, comprising of sodium bentonite encapsulated between two or more woven and non-woven geotextiles.

ActiMat adopts unique self-Seeming overlaps technology which doesn’t require any additional treatment of its longitudinal edges.

Application:

  • Water reservoirs, dams and river embankments
  • Liquid wastes disposals sites, transfer stations, secondary containment
  • Transport infrastructure
  • Canals
  • Solid wastes storage and disposal sites

Advantages:

  • Self-healing
  • Robust construction
  • Limited preparation work
  • Easy and quick installation
  • Long performance
  • All weather installation, including wet and frozen subgrades

Installation:

  • Unrolled on smooth and compacted subgrade
  • Subsequent panels lapped 300mm at leading edges

Packaging:

ActiMat is produced in 5m wide x 40m long panels, rolled onto a 100mm internal diameter central core, and protected with a plastic sleeve. Other panel sizes are available on request.

Storage:

Provided the rolls are kept inside their protective plastic sleeves, further on-site protection is not required.

SolidMat is a high performance geocomposite, comprising a special blend of minerals encapsulated between a woven and two non-woven needlepunched geotextiles. When in contact with water material solidifies into a permanent, rigid, high tensile and puncture strength layer.

Application:

  • Reinforcement and slope protection: roads, railways, earth works, foundation and property lines, water lagoons, ponds and dams
  • Protection of liners, waterproofing and other geosynthetics
  • Liquid barrier: liquid wastes disposals sites, transfer stations, secondary containment
  • Ballast: canals
  • Liquid barrier: solid wastes storage and disposal sites

Advantages:

  • Robust construction
  • Limited preparation work
  • Easy and quick installation
  • Long performance

Installation:
  • Unrolled on smooth and compacted subgrade
  • Subsequent panels lapped 150mm at leading edges

Packaging:

SolidMat is produced in 5m wide x 30m long panels, rolled onto a 100mm internal diameter central core, and protected with a plastic sleeve. Other panel sizes are available on request.

Storage:

If kept outside material has to be placed on the dry, levelled subgrade and covered with plastic sheet.

It is preferred to storage SolidMat, on elevated of the base for example on two rows of pallets.

No water ingress to the material is allowed before installation.

Safety Instruction

There are no special safety measures required for the handling and installation of material, other than those normally implemented on construction sites.

R-MAT is geosynthetic liner, which consist of the rubber granular between two textiles which are needlepunch together. Because excellent protection properties it is perfect option to protect membrane against damages.

Application:

  • protection of the geomembranes and other liners and/or insulations

Advantages:

  • limited preparation needed
  • easy and quick installation

Installation:

  • Unroll on smooth and compacted subgrade or other geosynthetic
  • Subsequent panels lapped 200mm at leading edges short edges lapped 300 mm

Packaging:

R-Mat is delivered in panels 5m wide and length depending on the type of the product. Material is rolled onto a 100mm internal diameter central core, and protected with a plastic sleeve. Other panel sizes are available on request.

Storage:

Provided the rolls are kept inside their protective plastic sleeves, further on-site protection is not required.

Concrete structures waterproofing:

ActiTex is an active waterproofing membrane of high strength geotextiles encapsulating a sodium

bentonite layer between non-woven & woven geotextile which are needle punched together. Bentonite when in contact  with water become dense gel which ensures perfect protection against water. Swelling pressure of bentonite causes self-healing of the waterproofing.

Optionally material can be coated with polymeric film.

Typical uses:

  • Below ground structures wall & beneath slab
  • Property line construction- secant, contiguous piles, steel sheet piling, permanent shuttering, stabilised earth retention walls, king post walls
  • Void formers, compacted ground, insulation, clay heave board, etc.
  • Tunnels, earth covered roofs
  • Structures under continuous or intermittent hydrostatic pressure

Advantages:

  • Active self healing properties
  • Mechanical bond, eliminating water tracking
  • Conformable, pliable – can be applied to varied contours & substrates
  • Robust membrane
  • Ease of repair
  • All weather application, mechanical fix
  • VOC free
  • Proven world wide application
  • Reproducible swell after wet-dry cycle
  • Unaffected by freeze/thaw cycling

Installation:

  • Horizontal application – install on the levelled and compacted ground or thin concrete
  • Vertical application
  • Material to be overlapped by 10cm
  • It can be installed on the frozen or wet subsoil
  • Do not install in standing water
  • In case of water with pH below 4 and above 11 and conductivity

Storage:

Provided the material is kept inside their protective plastic packaging, further on-site protection is not required.

ActiStop is a hydrophilic strip waterstop and is a formulated blend of sodium bentonite & butyl rubber. ActiStop is an active waterstop which reacts with water to seal construction joints within concrete. The seal resists hydrostatic pressure, stopping the passage of water through the joint. Due to the sodium bentonite content on contact with water ActiStop will swell within its confinement, self-injecting into localised honeycombing & minor fissures. ActiStop is an active waterstop designed to replace passive PVC/Rubber waterbars, without the need for pre-formed intersections, split forming or seam welding. ActiStop is manufactured in coil sizes designed for single operative installation.

ActiStop can be applied to concrete, steel or pipe(PVC). Coil ends are butt jointed (not overlapped) to form a continuous waterstop.

Typical uses:

  • Construction joints in in-situ reinforced concrete structures
  • New to existing concrete construction
  • Pipe penetrations – wall & floor
  • Irregular surfaces
  • Box out penetrations & remedial sections

Advantages:

  • Non-dimensional swell allows complete injection to surrounding voids
  • Conformable – can be applied to a range of irregular substrates
  • Resists in excess of 6 bar (60m) hydrostatic pressure
  • Swelling many times more than its dry volume to form in-penetrable gel
  • Simple butt jointing on site application
  • Reproducible swell after wet-dry cycle
  • Unaffected by freeze/thaw cycling

Storage:

All products should be stored away from direct heat in dry conditions, under cover and away from the possibility of damage or premature contact with water.
